I am handing out candy for any girls in the neighborhood who want some. A way to show my apprciation for this Earth holiday called Father's Day if I'm right. So many of you seem very busy taking care of men, so you should have something in return. 916 Bilko Boulevard will be the location and all girls young and not are welcome to stop by.

[As Scratch said he will be outside on the yard of his house, with two bowls of different assortments of 1950's candy. All store bought, as stealing is beneath him even if he could easily do it.

I made him some cookies, all by myself! So I hope he'll be able to eat and enjoy them, since, you see--

[Yeah not getting it. He's not even from Earth, so he has no idea why she's stopping.]

I wasn't going to say anything at all, I-I mean-- [ QUICK, NEED A DISTRACTION.. Welp, she's just going to pick a piece of candy from one of the bowls and put it in her mouth. There. ]

Haa Haa. How charming.

[Something akin to a smile comes up. Quite adorable of her really.]

[ Oh, that still makes her look a little embarassed.. but at least now she gulps down the candy so she can speak normally again. ]

... E-eh? Charming..?

I guess.. I can't really help it, ehehe.. it's a little scary to be around people I don't know all that well yet.

[ OH SHIT DOC, NOW YOU'VE DONE IT. She'll give a bit of a curious look. ]

Why yes, an uncle. [He takes the bowl of candy and offers it.] Would you like some more?

[ PLAYING INTO HER FAMILY COMPLEX, I SEE.

She grabs another piece of candy though, looking a bit more cheerful - perhaps even a little excited - now. ]

U-um, in that case.. would it be okay for me to call you oji-san, if you're like an uncle for me?

Oji-san. Is that how you address your uncles on Earth? Well, I don't see why not.

Well.. it isn't really everywhere on Earth, just in Japan..

But thank you very much! I'm really, really glad!

That's.. Japan-san is a person here, but back home Japan is actually a country. And the Japan-san here is that country too, but.. ehehe, it's a little difficult, isn't it..

A country person you say? ...I think I may understand. [He did run into one who was attacking him during the Population Control.] I'm sure he will take good care of you, Nadeko.

Hmm, Japan-san always takes really good care of me! He's kind and helpful, and.. um, back when all those scary things were going on, he and Taiwan-san made sure I was somewhere safe.

I owe them a lot.

Taiwan? Another country person I suspect. [He gives a wry smile.] I'm sure you will be fine with such replacements for the time being.

I guess it's a little funny that they're both countries and ended up in the same household..

[ A small nod, and a smile. ] I have a lot of people to look after me and be friends with in this place, so.. I'll be fine. I'm actually really happy.

Your happiness in a place like this is very uplifting. You will be fine, Nadeko.

We're all stuck here for the time being, so I thought we should just make the best out of it.
